About Swell Diary

I'm Jeff, a software engineer and surfer who lives near the Gold Coast in Australia. After going for a surf, I'd regularly get home and see videos of the breaks and sessions I'd surfed that day on YouTube. That was the inspiration that sparked the idea to create Swell Diary.

I'm building a historical video timeline of surf videos from around the world, when and where they break and the surfers surfing them. I'm curating the best YouTube raw and daily surf videos and organising them in chronological order.

Right now I am focusing on marketing the website. If you are interested you can follow the journey as I try and build up traffic and an audience.

Then I want to add new features like weather and swell reports from the day the video was filmed, visualisations and maps of the biggest days and surges in videos. Plus community features so you can tag the video sessions you surfed. You can signup now to be notified as new features go live.
